This article examines the unfolding joy in young children’s literacy practices a Finnish early years classroom. We focus on of intra-action among children, adults and materials during learning endeavours by thinking with new materialist theories, data from an multiliteracies project named The Storybook. Our goal is to draw attention material relational dimensions its moment-to-moment unfoldings examining how unfolds unexpectedly moment when adults, Storybooks other resources intra-act.
